The MIDI violin (musical instrument digital interface) was constructed for use in performance to play digitally sampled & synthesized sound as well as trigger lighting and other electrically controllable devices.
It was used in the performance of When Your Eyes are Closed... a collaboration of Paul Marquardt and choreographer Patricia Plasko.
